"Little and Davie have undertaken various projects, small and large, at many NTS properties,
particularly in Fife where they have recently limewashed Hill of Tarvit and Culross Palace and have
over a number of years carried out masonry consolidation and repointing to the East Range at Falkland
Palace. The quality of the work they produce is of a very high standard, and is carried out by a motivated,
dedicated and conscientious work force"

Little and Davie Construction is a small innovative company based in
Fife. We specialise in conservation, restoration and new
ecological building using traditional and natural materials; earth,
stone and lime. We have a sound understanding and knowledge of
traditional and “green” construction techniques, with research and
training both here and abroad.
Acting as main contractors, specialist sub-contractors and consultants,
we work on a range of publicly and privately owned buildings from 10th
century castle ruins, estate walls and mudwall cottages to tower
houses, prehistoric monuments and royal palaces. Our expertise includes many ancient monuments and listed
buildings, where we work alongside Historic Scotland, the National Trust
for Scotland, and public bodies to
achieve the best repair approach for each situation.
Our
skilled team of craftsmen and women provide consistent high quality
workmanship. The partners have direct input on all projects, site
managing and working hands-on so that the greatest expertise and
experience is always present. This method of working guarantees personal
attention to each job and maintains close communication with clients.
Combining this level of service with sound contract management
means we provide good value for money and a high level of client
satisfaction.
